IT Professional
My name is Walt Bower and I am currently a senior, majoring in Information Technology at Florida State University. I will be graduating at the end of the summer 2008 semester with my Bachelors Degree. Immediately following the completion of my Bachelors Degree, I intend to pursue my Masters Degree in Information Technology. While at Florida State University, I have been able to maintain a 3.7 GPA within the College of Information. In addition to maintaining my grades, I have also become involved on campus as well. I am an active member in the Seminole Student Boosters organization, as well as a member of the Undergraduate Academic Advising Team for the College of Information and the Nole Zone Executive Council. For the College of Information, our goal is to realign or otherwise alter the structure of classes to make it more efficient and logical for students to pursue their majors within the college. In 2007, I was selected as the Vice President for AITP (Association of Information Technology Professionals) at Florida State University.
Pursuant to graduating from Florida State University, I hope to pursue a career as a network administrator. My current experience, along with the internship that I am currently fulfilling, will help me to achieve this short term goal. In addition, my long term goal is to become a Chief Information Officer.
